Email Policies
We are committed to keeping your e-mail address confidential. We do not sell, rent, or lease our subscription lists to third parties, and will not disclose your email address to any third parties except as expressly set out in this Privacy Policy. In compliance with Canada’s anti-spam legislation all e-mails sent from our organization will clearly state who the e-mail is from and provide clear information on how to contact the sender. In addition, all e-mail messages will also contain concise information on how to remove yourself from our mailing list so that you can opt-out of further e-mail communication from us and will contain an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of each email.

Event of a Breach
In the unlikely event customer data has been lost, stolen, or potentially compromised, our policy is to alert our customers via email no later than 72 hours of our becoming aware of the event. We will also report such incident to any required data protection authority. We will work closely with any customers affected to determine next steps such as any end-user notifications, needed patches, and how to avoid any similar event in the future.

In the event you are a part of a group or organization that is a Client of CheckingIn, we may use or and share data you provide through your usage of our App to our Client in an anonymized fashion. All such data is anonymized and no such information regarding your usage of our App will ever be shared on an individual or personalized level. As such, anonymized usage data will not be considered Personal Information for the purposes of this policy.
10. Other Sharing
Canadian law permits or requires the use or sharing of Personal Information without consent in specific circumstances. These circumstances include situations when permitted or required by law or when necessary to protect CheckingIn, employees, customers, or others. Should this occur, CheckingIn will not share more Personal Information than is required to fulfill that purpose.
CheckingIn complies with this policy as well as applicable Canadian private sector data protection laws such as the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”) and substantially similar provincial laws pertaining to the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information.

CheckingIn will require that the parties involved in any such transaction, including affiliates, advisors or other service providers, agree to protect your Personal Information with policies meeting standards equivalent to those set out in this policy both during and after completion of the transaction.
Similarly, the relationship between CheckingIn and a third party that provides a product, service, program, contest, promotion or event under a CheckingIn brand may cease. If that third party continues to provide a product, service, program, contest, promotion or event to you, your Personal Information will be subject to that third party’s privacy policy.
Other than as stated in this policy or as stated in terms and conditions CheckingIn has with a Client, or as part of a consent in relation to a product, service, program, contest, promotion or event, CheckingIn does not share any Personal Information with third parties.

Email Policies
We are committed to keeping your e-mail address confidential. We do not sell, rent, or lease our subscription lists to third parties, and will not disclose your email address to any third parties except as expressly set out in this Privacy Policy. In compliance with Canada’s anti-spam legislation all e-mails sent from our organization will clearly state who the e-mail is from and provide clear information on how to contact the sender. In addition, all e-mail messages will also contain concise information on how to remove yourself from our mailing list so that you can opt-out of further e-mail communication from us and will contain an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of each email.

Event of a Breach
In the unlikely event customer data has been lost, stolen, or potentially compromised, our policy is to alert our customers via email no later than 72 hours of our becoming aware of the event. We will also report such incident to any required data protection authority. We will work closely with any customers affected to determine next steps such as any end-user notifications, needed patches, and how to avoid any similar event in the future.

We respect your rights to your personal information and data. You have the right to access, correct, request restriction or deletion of your information, or request how we use your personal information and data collected, as required by applicable law. 2. Personal Information
We collect certain types of information from you when you visit our App. By accepting this Privacy Policy, you are expressly consenting to (i) our collection of information as described below (collectively referred to herein as “Personal Information”); (ii) our use of the information collected; (iii) the processing of this information; and (iv) our sharing of data with third-party processors as needed to run our organization.

CheckingIn collects Personal Information in a variety of ways such as when you set up an account, your use of our App, during the course of your purchase of, or application for our products and services or your participation in one or more of our programs, contests, promotions or events. In the event you are a part of a group or organization that is a Client of CheckingIn, we may use or and share data you provide through your usage of our App to our Client in an anonymized fashion. All such data is anonymized and no such information regarding your usage of our App will ever be shared on an individual or personalized level. As such, anonymized usage data will not be considered Personal Information for the purposes of this policy.
10. Other Sharing
Canadian law permits or requires the use or sharing of Personal Information without consent in specific circumstances. These circumstances include situations when permitted or required by law or when necessary to protect CheckingIn, employees, customers, or others. Should this occur, CheckingIn will not share more Personal Information than is required to fulfill that purpose.
CheckingIn complies with this policy as well as applicable Canadian private sector data protection laws such as the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”) and substantially similar provincial laws pertaining to the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information.

CheckingIn will require that the parties involved in any such transaction, including affiliates, advisors or other service providers, agree to protect your Personal Information with policies meeting standards equivalent to those set out in this policy both during and after completion of the transaction.
Similarly, the relationship between CheckingIn and a third party that provides a product, service, program, contest, promotion or event under a CheckingIn brand may cease. If that third party continues to provide a product, service, program, contest, promotion or event to you, your Personal Information will be subject to that third party’s privacy policy.
Other than as stated in this policy or as stated in terms and conditions CheckingIn has with a Client, or as part of a consent in relation to a product, service, program, contest, promotion or event, CheckingIn does not share any Personal Information with third parties.
